Voice of Russia Apparently Replaced by Radio Cantico Nuevo on WNSW 1430 AM

The Voice of Russia had been broadcasting on WNSW 24/7 for the past few years.
But Spanish language religious station Radio Cantico Nuevo, which seems at times to be all over the AM dial, has apparently replaced the broadcast from Moscow, This is confirmed by Radio Cantico's website.
Radio Cantico is also still on WNYH 740 AM in Long Island. Their website lists a couple of additional frequencies.
But Radio Cantico is no longer simulcast on WRKL 910 AM in Rockland County. That station has been playing continuous rock music (interrupted only by station ID's) for about a month.
Does anyone know whether WNSW has implemented the power boost they had applied for? It sounds stronger where I am listening. The FCC station listings cannot be checked, due to the govt. shutdown.
I did not listen often to the Voice of Russia, but did find it somewhat interesting.

Radio Cantico lists its frequencies (minus WNYH 740 AM). http://www.radiocanticonuevo.com/

Somewhat surprising that VOR would lose its NYC outlet. VOR has been actively seeking local broadcast outlets around the world as part of its distribution strategy. VOR is apparently shutting down what's left of its shortwave operations at the end of this year, so local affiliates as well as Internet streaming are the focus.

China Radio International is also pursuing local affiliates (we have TWO of them here in Houston) but CRI still has a significant SW presence.

I suspect VOR may pop up elsewhere, although on an inferior signal.

The Voice of Russia is currently on the air (in English) in Washington, Miami and Chicago.
In Washington they are on WTOP HD2, in addition to WZHF AM.
Perhaps if VOR wants to maintain a presence in New York, it may make sense for them to lease an HD2 here also.

Hey...what if they bail Pacifica out and spend a few hours each day on 99½?
They could also go to a non-com, like 91½.

The Voice of Russia has landed on WVIP 93.5 HD2.
IMHO, WBAI's programming should sound more like VOR's. The Russian outlet provides an alternative news service that questions American policies in a thought-provoking manner.
