W-ZDZ oldies radio on 99.1 fm in monroe,nc

Wow I just happened to hear this station last night on my way home from work (I work near the Monroe Airport). I was looking for WBT-FM and stumbled on it. It was pretty week where I was at the time with just 46 watts it makes sense.

I've been working in Concord for several weeks now, and this Oldies Station is pretty good. It does have a weak FM Signal though. It shouldn't have problems in Concord but it does due to insufficient power. The 98.3 in Belmont really wreaks havoc on WTIX.

Also there were times I noticed some ''audio irregularities'' which made some of the music sound... unusual. They need better audio and more power on 98.3 MHz.

Steve.

W-TIX is now broadcasting on 98.3 FM in Concord. Too bad the signal doesn't reach Mint Hill and Midland very well.

I agree.. 98.3 fm in concord is not that bad. The audio quality does sound very compressed.

Also, I found another low power oldies station that just started in Mooresville. It is called "The Point" and it's on 94.7 fm. They seem to play alot of 80s and some 60s and 70s.
