W276CO (103.1 FM) Applies For Upgrade

According to NorthPine.com in their Monday FCC Insights, 103.1 FM (W276CO) in Fond Du Lac WI (an FM Translator) rebroadcasting WMBZ (92.5 FM West Bend WI) is requesting and has applied for an upgrade from 120 watts to 250 watts while continuing to rebroadcast 92.5 FM. Sources Cited: NorthPine

I sure hope this upgrade will allow me to hear it in Waupun. We can hear 93.7 FM and 95.1 FM from Fond Du Lac - with a medium signal strength in Western portions of Waupun

This thing is already causing major interference to areas that WOGB previously covered with no issue. I cannot believe that they want to run even more power now.

Also, their main signal should come in fine in Waupun. You are in their local coverage area. Do you have issues with it?

Yes I do have issues with it, we're in a bowl / valley. West Bend and anything in that direction requires at least a 35 foot pole - using a VHF low TV antenna. Same issue with TV stations

Not to be critical, but why not just stream WMBZ?
I have streamed the station that is until they started using Geo blocking. I now get the Madison Wisconsin streams but no longer get their Milwaukee stations.

I heard from my friend who lives in West Bend that he can get around that with proxies and he listens to their Green Bay feeds personally that feels illegal.

It's not illegal. I use proxies too to get past geoblocking
