W279BQ-103.7 On-Air (Where?); New Pirate On 94.9?

Not picking up anything in Beverly. I prob should have tried them earlier--at one point I went right by where their stick is on Highland Ave./Salem.
 
So if somebody wanted, they could put a 27 watt station on Route 107 in Salem and it probably wouldn't affect the Saugus station.

Something weird yesterday, I heard WGBH being broadcast very weakly on 103.7 on Boston St. in Salem, but I drove to Marblehead and heard WEEI-FM.

Hmmm, I checked their FCC file today, and it seems they have a CP to move from the RT.107 Salem site, over to behind Fuddrucker's on RT.1 in Saugus.

I don't know if it just happened yesterday, or what, but they are back on, presumably from their new Rt.1 Saugus site, BUT barely receivable up here in Beverly (whereas their Rt.107 Salem site boomed in)——maybe they're at reduced power?

Perhaps Saugus' input frequency wasn't yet set and they were passing 89.7 rather than 90.5?
 
Last I heard, they moved to Saugus but today I was driving near the transmitter that they had in Salem and they were broadcasting dead air with the stereo light on in my car radio. Blocking out WPKQ and WEEI-FM. Strange. ???

Seems like it's been dead air for the last few weeks, every time I've been in range of it. What a waste...
