WABC: Dominick Carter fills Rudy Giuliani's slot

First off, congratulations to Dominic Carter on getting the additional hour.
WABC’s block of 1-hour shows on weekday afternoons might benefit from at least giving Mr. Carter a 2-hour time slot. The lineup from 3-6 of Dominic Carter, then James Golden followed by “Cats & Cosby” is an uneven presentation. Of course they won’t mess with Cats’ show. But move James Golden to midnight and give Carter two hours in the afternoon to build some momentum. (No, that won’t happen because they’ve just started syndicating Carter’s one hour midnight show.)
James Golden’s mix of politics and music trivia night play better at a later hour. At least on Saturday mornings he has 3 hours to play music, take some calls and get his regular guests on.

Since Kamala Harris is running for President now instead of Joe Biden. My interest in the election has increased. I actually listened to 770 WABC a few times this week. It’s not as bad as I thought it would be. It’s a pretty good set up with the Hosts From 4-6pm. I really don’t know the answer to this Question. Why isn’t Mark Levin on Earlier during Drive Time ? He is the most entertaining

Oh hes interesting alright.

When in wyoming, i had him on 890 KDXU St George UT and 890 WLS Chicago at the same time, but not in synch and i got an echo.... sounded liek levin was arguing with himself and might stroke out on the air

Mark Levin angrily screeching in his annoying, high-pitched screech? Wonder he doesn't burst a blood vessell or have a full-out stroke.

Levin's act passed its Use By date a lot of years ago. If the AM Wingnut Talk industry was healthier, he's have been toast 15 years ago. The fact that he's still on, still screeching the same old tired songs of outrage, demonstrates to me that it's on life support and the oxygen canister is getting dangerously low.

The talk radio format entered hospice care when Rush died. The entire roster of "top tier" syndicated hosts left, including Levin, are nothing more than unimaginative xeroxes of Rush's act (which itself got stale 20 years earlier).

Not to mention most of the top hosts today like Hannity, Buck Sexton, I think even Levin got their break in radio filling in for rush and obviously theyd be copying or emulating him in some ways when your filling in for someone as big as rush..... it seemed to have carried over. Rush was truly a man ahead of his time.
