WAIM-AM 1230 in Anderson getting national attention about crazy Morning Man.....

C'mon...stop pickin' on the guy. He has come along way in just a few weeks. Remember a couple weeks ago when you would come to the board and just about all the topics were about Oldies and Anderson radio? It was all 'goodtimes and great oldies all the time" he has chilled out and is keeping it fun now.

Its a good story. Its real local radio doing the community service, in action. you guys should eat that s#!t up. Its not corporate cookie cutter bs. This morning guy got 50 people to drive to the state house in some type of Sanford & Son bus to talk to the governer about local politics?! thats homegrown goodness there guys.
 
Still awaiting a LINK form a NATIONAL source on this "story"......

I swear, GTGO is about as annoying as WJEPPD is on the Georgia boards.

I searched WYFF's site and there was no mention of it there, so who is to say that it made a national source and if it did, I have not heard about it. . I am not slamming the GTGO, just stating the obvious, and there has beenno mention of it here in Columbia where I live and I peruse the web sites of WIS, WLTX and WOLO as well as the The State Newspaper's site, and there has been no mention of it there too.
 
i don't think we are picking. when someone claims a local radio announcer is getting national attention when it is obvious they are not, i think that it is fair to call them out. don't we all want accuracy? we all make mistakes but i believe gtgo was trying to hype something they found amusing that really wasn't a big deal.
 
I have to agree. If you are going to say something is a national story, then back it up with links so that we can read the story and frankly it seems to be much about nothing, because it is just the same old political story.
 
It's not like he claimed to cure cancer yall, just that a local radio story made "national."
Shoot far, all of us are making national news since this is on the internets! :D
 
When you get a local story that is different where someone is willing to go out of their way to make a point that something just isn't right then it is worth telling the world about. I don't know if this story is or is not that kind of deal but I do know that most people just sit by and let things go rather than makes waves and look at what kind of shape our country is in now. Did it make national news or did it not, who cares it should. Driver maybe pushing it to further his job maybe not but it is a good story one worth talking about and it is really nice to hear something funny for a change.
 
Some posters seem to be pulling my leg!!!!!! YES!!!!! The story was on MSNBC. I don`t know if it still is or not. But, by the way-The INTERNET is WORLDWIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, this story is Worldwide!!!!!!!!!! I guess these posters are trying to be funny!!! The WAIM story is great!!!! This crazy WAIM-AM ststion guy is what local radio needs!!!!!
 
I think that one day, the late founder of WAIM-AM 1230 will reappear out of the graveyard and make it to the WAIM-AM studios! He will then throw Rick Driver out of the station and then run him over with the 1962 Greyhound WAIM-AM 1230 Magical Mystery Tour Bus!!!!!!!!
