Walking from Boston to Los Angeles to support pirate radio!

So you demand to know one's identity to debate the validity of their point?

Do you admit there is programming that has a particular appeal to certain small segments of the population that may be sponsorable that you will not carry on your station?

There's your argument. If it's supportable, and has an audience, but a commercial station cannot/will not break format to do so, than legal LPFM is a perfectly viable alternative and I encourage those citizens who want those forms of programming to make their voice heard in our public policy.

I'm sorry that people exercising their freedoms disturbs you so deeply.

I'm sure that your "broadcast employer" would be quite interested
to know all of this...
 
Actually, my employer(s), know of my support for LPFM legislation and have never interfered or disapproved. My behavior is professional and legal while supporting social activism. While some of this gentleman's activities may be illegal, he is more than entitled to march for change in the law.
 
He has started his walk last week. He's already near the New York state border, so that means he's walked across Massachusetts!
His press release says that the FCC limits Touch 106.1 to 3.5 miles. In reality, it's limited to 1/8 mile (part 15). If he built a more powerful transmitter, he wouldn't be limited to 3.5 miles.
Hopefully his pirate station gets shut down before he gets to LA.
 
He has decided to walk to DC instead of LA. I guess that would make more sense for him to walk straight to the FCC headquarters to turn himself in. Walking from Boston to DC is still impressive, many of us don't walk that much in a year. I still wish that this fool walked all the way to Los Angeles.
