WALL STREET JOURNAL: 1ST 4 WEEKS FOR THE BIG 4 ('08-'11) NOTHING TO SMILE ABOUT

If you look at CBS, they seem pretty stable over the past 3 years, probably because they expect performance, and don't settle for anything less (when a show gets a 3.5 rating, and is canceled two weeks later, you know they demand excellence). Also, interesting ebb and flow with Fox, they do really good, then tank, then do good again.

The only saving grace for ABC is that NBC started in such bad shape to begin with, and has only gotten worse. I'm wondering if NBC is no longer the priority for NBCU, as the business model is more profitable for a station like USA.
