Walter Sabo Returning To Talk Radio - In New York

The big news is Randy Michaels and Merlin Media acquiring three stations in New York and Chicago from Emmis.

And it's being reported that Walter Sabo - who's been getting a lot of run here of late - is being tapped to manage the New York station, WRXP.

Interestingly, Sabo - best known for his involvements with FM talk stations NJ 101.5 in New Jersey and WTKS in Orlando - is quoted in a New York Daily News article about the fate of WRXP as saying it's good to have Randy back in the radio fold.

If nothing else this will bring Walt back to relevance in the eyes of many (including myself really). The entire industry will be watching to see what they do with these sticks.

Smart money people know when you want the best to bring you success you stay clear of the worthless and spineless and go with the proven leader WALTER SABO!

That Wonderful man that ruined 610 KFRC? Are you all high or what? He needs to crawl back under the rock he crawled out from under!

Again, the problem with Sabo is that he is into "formulaic" personality radio. I want you to think good and hard about that. It's ridiculous and by and large FAILS. As I've said before, if shows do not reflect the INDIVIDUAL, they will be horrible.

Some of today's biggest radio stars would've been unsuccessful under that kind of arrangement.
