89 WLS in Chicago is doing it again!! The ROCK of Chicago and the Big89 Rewind!!! NOT a reply of last year.but with most of the same folks you love; Tommy Edwards and Larry Lujack, John RECORDS Landeckers (and Records is truly his middle name...its his mom maiden name!), Fred WInston, and others!! Starts 5AM on the big 89......stream is available (but not 100% the same...some of the commercials, etc they have to block)...THIS is PERSONALITY music radio at its best....and if someome would do it down here PERMANENTLY, DAMN we would be happy....(FM but AM in stereo would be ok!) BTW WLS is running CQuam stereo...so if you get them at night via skywave, enjoy in double!

I loved listening to WLS in the 60's and 70's when it had 890 all to itself, and the signal would boom into Texas, especially in winter. Now it battles to be heard, mixed with KVOZ and other stations.

Great imaging and jingles (PAMS?)!

Loved listening to WLS growing up in Oklahoma, where it came in quite well at night. Spent some time in Chicago during the mid 70s when WLS and WCFL were battling. Always enjoyed Lujack and Landecker.

I was underwhelmed with the WLS Rewind.
There was too much chatter of ''wasn't it great'' and not enough playing of the actual great broadcasts.

You must not have listened to John "Records" Landecker. In fact, it wasn't a replay of old broadcasts, rather it was bringing back some of the former WLS personalities such as Larry Lujack, Tommy Edwards, and Landecker live and on the radio.
