Want to buy KFNN/KQFN? That will be cash only

One other callsign is mentioned, KAFZ-FM in the Williams area. While it does have a construction permit that would allow it coverage of at least parts of Flagstaff, one wonders whether that will be enough to make a buyer interested, especially if that buyer has to pay for the upgrade.
That property has been listed for several years. They need to find someone willing to light large piles of money on fire in the hopes of rimshotting Flagstaff and maybe avoiding bankruptcy in the process.

Rimshotting Flagstaff? That's not exactly a major market. Doesn't a disproportionate amount of their ad inventory largely target Grand Canyon visitors and similar travelers? That would be a risky investment even for people who already know radio and that market, let alone someone coming in from outside.

Youre thinking of KUGO

Owned by the KDDL/KQNA people.

There's certainly more ad dollars possible in Flagstaff than in its city of license of Ash Fork, but I wouldn't put my money into that market.
Once upon a time there were maybe 2 or 3 stations in that city. Today, in my opinion (which may not be worth much), Flagstaff has too many radio stations and not enough revenue.

Which is why I've read that ad several times over the years, dreamed of retiring there, and then woke up to reality.

The MoneyRadio1510.com website has been going to a blank page since at least yesterday. Maybe JOB will fix it, but nothing says "our stations are thriving, please buy them" better than having a broken home page. Both KFNN and KQFN are still on the air and streaming.
