Want to Laugh ? WCBS-FM New Contest is a Joke...

I just heard WCBS-FM's New Contest "Operation Tax Refund" the caller is suppose to guess the correct amount between $1000 to $1500.00 I think within 5 seconds...here's the funny thing, the caller guesses a amount within the 5 seconds, the DJ answers either too high or too low but in this case the DJ answers "No that amount is too Low" taking up all the rest of the 5 seconds ending the game. :) You would think they would give you at least 15 to 30 seonds to make the game interesting. What are they thinking ? ???

The 5 seconds is just a seemingly intersting twist on the typical one-guess "high/low" game played in in the past. The idea is of course to listen to the station all day and pay attention to past guesses to get the amout right when it's finally your turn.

this is true but if WCBS-FM wanted to be a little creative for their audience they could add some seconds and instead of answering "No that guess is too high or that guess is too low" they could instead say "HIGHER" or LOWER" this is a no brainer. ;D

I never liked radio station contests. They are just cheap gimmicks to get people to listen. The odds of winning are so small, so why bother.

Yeah, why would they want people to listen?
And the odds are bad, unlike the lottery that almost everyone I know wins!
