Wanted -- soldered AM station for a HO HO HO-gauge train village

This Holiday search is a minor vigil to be sure, but we did have a small (Ramsey 10 LPAM was it?) *AM* station operating under the tree's train village a few years back. Blinking 'tower', doghouse and all. But the unit stopped working. I'm trying to serve the 'community' again, both the suburbs (with broccoli as Live Oak trees) and the downtown slum (with its traditional, suitably situated vagrants, winos, graffiti and streetwalkers). And instead of omni this year, I'll be trying to fit the station with a due-East lobe, toward the kitchen and the chimney. Anyone present have one of these 5X5 blowtorches? Maybe an extra they want to sell or LMA? Our construction permit expires 12/24/23.
The eMail here is [email protected]. TIA, folks!

Your best bet would probably be one of those micro-power transmitters like they use for real estate sales. You can get them in either AM or FM.

Did you actually broadcast a signal from a scale model tower? A 150 foot tower in HO scale would be about 21 inches high. You might be able to have a model AM directional array broadcasting a real signal on the FM band.

Hey, thanx for the tips, gang!
I got one of these ordered by a pal; my best buddy out this way and partner on a fixer-upper, so that Talking House concept is indeed an application.
I know the floorings, ceilings and wiring ; he knows all the rest, such as eBay, lol.

Best of the Holidays to yiz all!

This may be a surprise. Some years back a guy named L P Ryan got fined $10,000 by the FCC for building part 15 AM transmitters and shipping them to customers. The kits weren't illegal. Building them was fine too. But shipping homemade part 15 AM transmitters can get one a fine.

That scenario -- that asking-for-trouble sales situation -- seems much like that of the brazen posting of available music songs for people to download. Those who cadged the songs off the supplies did so (e.g. I can name two owners of music broadcast stations that did so but won't). Meantime, the people making them available for the planet were the ones in most peril of hearing the Big Court Gavel.
Since teenaged years (and with 23 years of FCC-licensed radio paycheck history on the resume') I've been aware of the part 15 stuff. Ol' Steve here has observed, and have learned from others, that playing hide-and-seek or 'tag' with the FCC cannot have a happy ending.
Thanks for the admonition, though!
