Was this guy ever a "big" star on the radio in Wisconsin ??

There is a guy who lives in Casper, Wyoming who does stand up comedy in Wyoming and sometimes in the Denver & Billings, Montana areas. His name is RJ Muzzy. His "thing" is that he is a guy who eats red meat, smokes cigars, chews tobacco, drinks beer and is a very "hairy dude" and who just happens to be gay...kinda like a gay version of Larry the Cable Guy. In his act he mentions that he was once a big time radio jock in Madison & Milwaukee back in the 90s until about ten years ago. He doesn't mention the call letters of his "employers" in his act but he does says his on air name was "Muzzy" sometimes "Muzz". The reason I ask is that I did caught his act during Colorado Pridefest ( which was pretty boring BTW ) last June here in Denver. Curious..was he ever a "big star" in Madison & Milwaukee that is was he ever on the radio there at all ? Or was he just blowing smoke ?? Not the first time I had met those who had said that they were in radio at one time but they really weren't. I did the search thing about this. Now I did find "Muzzy Broadcasting" but I don't think they are related to this Muzzy.

Anyone big in those markets in the 90's would have had some mention in R&R. I looked through nearly all the issues from that decade and... nada.

I am not surprised. His husband is friends with me on Facebook. According to him ( the hubby ) in a posting there he had worked at KBPI here in Denver where hiis name was "Madison Muzz". I called up KBPI well Iheart Media here in Denver since they own the station and asked if they ever had a jock on the air on KBPI or at any of their stations with that name. Nope !! Not surprised by that one either.

Muzzy on Facebook ( I was friends with him for one day ) apparently the only jobs he ever had besides stand-up were all at restaurants such as Olive garden, Black Eyed Pea and Applebees. No radio call letters were mentioned. Again..not surprised.

If I remember correctly (and the mind fades with the years), there was someone who went by "Muzzy" or something like that who was associated with some questionable station dealings in the Central Wisconsin (north of Madison) area back in the 90s or 00s. May be the guy . . . maybe not.
