WAY-TV flash cuts to digital. Any other analog LPTV's left in Birmingham

Now on rf 47 as W47EI-D with usual WAY-TV programming on 47.1 and WGIB-FM audio accompanied by nature scenes on 47.2

I'm not sure if the translator in Alabaster has flash cut as the TOH ID still gave the old analog call letters.

I'm still showing WBXA-CA channel 2 and WBMG-LP 38 in Moody as analog in addition to the WAY TV repeater in Alabaster.

My low power TV data is woefully out of date, though. I need to start over from scratch and Fox as much as I can but it's a bigger project than I have time for, sadly. There just aren't enough people out there who can still receive OTA TV to really keep that LPTV list up to date.

I live within two miles of WBXA's supposed tower site on Red Mountain. I can tell you I have seen no trace of their signal on either analog RF 2 or digital RF 24 for years. Before they moved their tower location I could get a weak signal from them.

I can check the WAY-TV repeater this week.

I'm not surprised that WBXA is off, it didn't seem like it had much of a coverage area.

Back when W15AZ came on in Alabaster as a relay of channel 49 in Birmingham, I set out with a portable TV to hunt down the tower location. I never did find it in person, it's very isolated and too far from Alabaster to be a viable signal there. Even when I was within a half mile of the supposed tower site I couldn't get a clear picture on the TV set.
