WAYE and WIXI officially swap stations in sale

It's official...the LMA between Rivera Communications and Richardson Broadcasting transitions to an outright sale/swap of their two stations, WAYE in Birmingham and WIXI in Jasper. I still believe something that there is more going on behind the scenes with the swap. Not really sure why Richardson would want a station licensed to Jasper, even with 12 kw days. WIXI's nighttime power is 42 watts and barely covers Jasper, so none of WJLD's listeners here in Birmingham tuned into 1360 could even hear WIXI at night and would be forced to switch back to 1400 at that point. I am still under the belief that since 1360 is only 40 kHz from both WJLD and WENN along with the fact that WBYE at 1370 is now off the air, WIXI could possibly be moved to Birmingham, even if the station's daytime power had to be downgraded from the current 12 kw.
