Hello!

I'm one of the co-founders of WAYO 104.3 FM, a new non-commercial low-power FM radio station in Rochester. We're a non-profit group affiliated with a local community theater - the MuCCC (Multi-use Community Cultural Center) - and we will be a freeform station full of arts and cultural programming. We'll have all sorts of music, as well as talk, interview, comedy and radio drama - all hosted by local programmers who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their material.

We have already accepted 50 programmers, but we have many timeslots left to fill. If you'd be interested in hosting a show, fill out our online application here (Rochester residents only please): http://www.wayofm.org/apply

Currently we are also running an Indiegogo campaign, and we could very much use your financial help. Our ambitious goal of $50,000 will fund our start-up costs (studio equipment being the main investment) as well as our entire first year of operation (including rent, utilities, insurance, licensing fees and so forth). Our Indiegogo also has some cool rewards that may be of interest to you: we're offering the usual stickers, pins and t-shirts as well as a series of 18 unique mix CDs curated by various creative Rochesterians (including members of indie rock stalwarts Pavement and The Mountain Goats). For more generous donors, there is a 7" record created exclusively for this campaign, hand-made boxes to house the full set of CDs, the opportunity to buy the original artwork for each of the CDs, and a very limited set of 5 "LP Portraits" portraying various famous Rochester musicians.

Your generous donations are much appreciated at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/wayo-104-3-fm-way-out-right-here - and if you can't donate, please at least consider helping to spread the word.

If we are successfully funded, we plan to begin broadcasting this coming January (including an online stream).

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have in this thread!
