WBZ All-Night: "Overnight America" Instead Of Local Talk??

Given the imminent switch of WTKK-96.9 away from talk, the CBS-owned syndicated talk show "Overnight America" will soon be without a Boston-area home.

A few years back, CBS tried to muscle the show onto WBZ-1030, laying off Steve LeVeille in the process, but "Overnight America" lasted only about a month on 'BZ, with LeVeille returning.

But with LeVeille's retirement earlier this year, the fact that WBZ has not selected a permanent weeknight overnight talk show host, and "Overnight America" looking for a new home on the local airwaves, could CBS try to muscle the show back onto 'BZ, believing that with no regular local overnight host, "Overnight America" might "stick" on WBZ this time around??

I think the odds are about 50-50.

What do you think??

I would say no given the station's emphasis on live/local in its promos.
It is a strange situation though given the slot was largely replacements for much of '12 between the front-loaded vacation time, personal days and retirement.
It would be a less complicated move--than several years ago-- to syndi if they wanted to go that route. I hope they don't but I wouldn't expect the bevy of complaints if they do?
