'BZ did the same thing more or less to Jerry Williams in the late 60's after he made Tricky Dick Nixon's "Enemies List".
The Suits at then Westinghouse wanted to get on the good side of Adolph ah, I mean Richard Nixon and although Jerry was NUMBER ONE at the station at the time they did not renew his contract.
They were also "annoyed" that Jerry played the tape of the Vietnam Vet who described in vivid detail and in tears the carpet bombing of villages in Vietnam. Jerry gave a copy to George McGovern who was running for President at the time and the "suit" blew a gasket.
It always comes down to the broadcasting executive playing footsie with the politicians even if it mean compromising one's or the station's integrity.
Here again, WBZ compromised its integrity "Big Time" but at least Flo Jonic is in good company with the "Dean" Jerry Williams.
As to 'BZ they can NEVER be trusted again to broadcast unbiased news.
That is GONE forever.
