WBZ Talk Announcement...But Not The One Everyone Was Waiting For

Last night (November 13th), WBZ-1030 evening talk-show host Dan Rea made an on-air announcement about a major change in the station's programming.

But it wasn't the one most people were expecting (read: announcement of a new weeknight all-night host/hostess to replace the fired Jen Brien).

What was announced was that Morgan White, Jr. would be hosting a regular two-hour show on Saturday nights from 10:05 P.M. until 12 Midnight, presumably starting this weekend (November 16th).

I suspect that the syndicated (and paid?) "Kim Kommando" show is leaving 'BZ (unless it is being moved to Sunday nights from 10:05 P.M. to 12 Midnight, which would all but make it official that Bradley Jay, who until recently had that late-night Sunday slot, has become the regular weeknight overnight host).

By the way, as of this writing (3:30 P.M. EST, November 14th), the "Program Schedule" page of the WBZ Radio website (http://boston.cbslocal.com/wbz-newsradio-1030-program-schedule ) hasn't been updated yet to reflect White's getting a regular show.

On the other hand, maybe WBZ management has decided to have Bradley Jay become the permanent weeknight all-night host, but the official announcement might be delayed until Morgan White Jr.'s late-evening show on Saturdays has started.
