WBZA Morning Show Producer (Rochester)

Hi,

I live in Pennsylvania but am originally from outside of Buffalo. I saw this listing on All Access. Does anyone know anything about this station / show/ company. Looks pretty good. Any idea what the position has paid in the past? Is Rochester a good city to work in? Just wondering since I read this board all the time.

The "Buzz" has it is called is owned by Entercom, which also owns WBEE-FM, the number one rated station in the market and WROC-AM, which carries Air America.

Now since I've never worked for Entercom I have no idea what the salary is for a morning producer at this station. However I've known a few people who worked there and they have no love lost for the place. Call it sour grapes or reality. I believe in hearing both sides of a story before making a final judgment.

As for Rochester, like most cities, there are some decent places to live and then there are some you would want to avoid. We have winters, but then again nice summers, falls and spring. Taxes in New York are very high and the economy in upstate New York isn't the best, if you compare it to other parts of the state and the nation. Gasoline prices in Rochester are very high compared to some other locations.

So I guess what I'm trying to say to you is if you want this job, apply for it. Make sure however that you determine ahead of time what your needs are i.e.: salary and benefits.
