WDEL and WWTX the ticket both carried Tatnall/WilliamPenn game tonight

The high school basketball finals are being played this week and it was interesting to note that both Delmarva's WDEL and CC's WWTX (the Ticket) carried the game between Tatnall and William Penn. I don't know if any downstate stations carried the game as both schools were from New Castle County. During the one time out that happened while I was tuned in, both stations went to a spot break and yes both WDEL and WWTX had actual spots to air, so both were apparently able to sell the game and make some do-re-mi.

I believe each station had its own team broadcasting, but WWTX's signal wasn't very clear where I was so their announcers voices weren't that clear. It seemed like one of the station's was using a time delay also. I know that during the one spot break I heard WDEL aired only one spot and then back to the game where as WWTX aired one spot and then a PSA before going back to the game, so their spot break was longer.

Chris Carl, from WDEL, usually monitors these threads so maybe he can offer better info on some of this. I didn't listen very long as I wasn't really interested in the game, I just noticed as I scanned the AM dial while driving that 1150 and 1290 both had a high school basketball game on and listened long enough to find out that it was indeed the same game, before tuning away to something else.

WWTX sure isn't clear in MOT at 5:00p on a mid-March Saturday when I listened to the William Penn/Caesar Rodney boys final on my way home from work. At one point I flipped from 1150 to 1290 and it came in just as bad as (or worse than) you described, Mike. So I went back to 1150.
