We want to be the hottest stick in the sticks...will you help us

We have worked hard (with limited resources & a skeleton crew) to bring a true classic rock format to areas of East Texas that have historically been dominated by country music. So far, public response has been overwhelmingly in favor of the effort and we are secure in the belief that we are on the right track. Listenership is way up and we have more rate card requests (call & walk-in business) than we can currently handle with only 2-AE's in house.

We realize that "The Outlaw" needs much work and have been assured that help is on the way..."Thank God"...!

What we need, more than anything now, is input/criticism/& guidance from the sort of talent that visits this page. I would humbly ask (with the understanding that we are an UN-polished work in progress) that you listen and send along your suggestions on riding this bull for more than eight-seconds.

Please listen when you are able and post or email us when you can. Keeping this format alternative in play is of importance to many here in the dead zone. Maybe with your help KBHT can avoid a few land mines and someday become a stick that rates a "Well Done" from those (like you) who know.

Thanks in advance for any help in this matter and best regards.

Hello Rip N Read.

We are currently streaming at (www.kbht.com). Our new site is being built as we speak and should be in place very soon. We sure need one! Thanks for the good wishes and in advance for any future input that you might have.

Regards,
Jimmy...

I may send you a PM with some suggestions, but for now I'll tell you what I'm noticing this afternoon and evening. A big wildfire (a thousand acres or more) prompted the closing of Interstate 45 and a couple of other highways northwest of Hunstville. It has been creating huge traffic delays and has forced drivers to seek alternate routes. In the studio, Carla Lee has been providing continuing coverage of the situation and giving good advice for residents and drivers wanting to get out of the danger zone. The classic rock is sounding good and the fire coverage is very impressive; you're doing a good job!

Carla Leigh is a natural. What she lacks in years of experience, she makes up for with pure talent! She's a terrific morning show host, has a strong (agency quality) production voice, and is up to wearing most hats here at the station. If you get a chance, I'd like to know what you think of her morning show effort. (7 to 11 week days)
I think you will be pleasently suprised.
