Weekend Blaze Claims Life of WKHY Overnight Jock

As some of you may have read here this weekend, WKHY's overnight DJ and Creative Services Director, Sean Beall, known on-air as Marley, died as a result of a weekend housefire in Lafayette. He was 34.

Marley was a great guy and did a phenominal job at KHY. It's unfortuante his life was taken so early and so tragically. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and co-workers, past and present, during this difficult time.

A sad story first broke by Lafayette Unplugged. Didn't want to believe it was true.
Marley will be very missed here in Lafayette.

Starting out at KHY a few years back, I saw Marley as a quiet guy who was humorous, good-natured and creative. Everyone there and B-102.9 had the highest regard for him, and needless to say, they still do.

This is horrible news and my heart goes out to all who knew him.

I worked "against" Marley doing overnights on WKOA...and Marley and I chatted quite a few times...even breakfast a time or two...

Great guy...
