Wendi Westbrook to KTYS PM Drive

allaccess reports Wendi Westbrook will take over the afternoon drive slot on KTYS next week. She had been doing weekends on KSCS (probably more known for her top 40 KHYI/"Y95" middays and billboards in the '80s around here).

Just thought it interesting to name someone to PM drive if the station is being blown up and changing formats next weekend...
 
I seen that also. Maybe she will play a major part in the new format.

I'm hoping so...at least that would be an indication it won't be some piped-in format (i.e. True Oldies)...

It seems that most of her past radio and tv experiences are in the country format. Does this mean KTYS' impending flip will really just be from 1 small subgenre of country to another tired form of country? What that station needs is a dramatic flip, not a superficial makeover. Putting lipstick on the pig isn't going to fool the citizens of DFW.

How can you possibly justify posting that link in reference to a co-worker? Since she's been on KSCS for some time, I'm sure that you've passed her in the hall or in the elevator. If so, I'm also sure that she smiled and said hello. She's like that.

That Wendi unfortunately shares a name with a woman who's appeared in 'nudie' films. Which is kinda funny.

Or he's about to be working with THE Wendi Westbrook, who HAS starred in 'nudie' films, which is also kinda funny...

Buddy of mine worked at a station where one of the girls from sales had posed for playboy...

Apparently she wasn't ashamed of it, but my rule has always been if you don't want to be confronted with your soft-core porn past, don't do soft-core porn in your past...
 
What will be really funny is if RMS - sorry Russ haters - does a bit on this, Twitser will have its highest cume ever for afternoon drive, web hits through the roof of guys trying to get a look at her staff photo, and showing up at all of its soon to be defunct Twister Touchdowns.

It really doesn't matter what she did or didn't do... You don't out a co-worker. If Russ or anyone else turns your past into a bit, that's the way the cookie crumbles but you shouldn't have to worry about things such as this coming from your own box.
