I guess all of this speculation about WFLA needing an FM simulcast is moot after all. Case in point...
If you look at the April PPM's, you will see that WFLA, firmly entrenched in third place, has eight - yes, eight - times as much ratings as the other talk stations in Tampa combined...
WFLA - 5.6
WGUL - 0.3
WWBA - 0.2
WHNZ - 0.2 (hard to believe, a CC-owned talker's cume is slightly lower than that of WWBA - crazy!)
An honorable mention goes to WMGG, which is listed as "talk" yet they've since flipped back to foreign language, IINM... and no surprise, they don't register...
Now, if you stack them up in order of cume, WFLA ranks 16th. Which brings us back to the "WFLA needs an FM simulcast" discussion... :
