WFSU selling 94.5 in Fort Walton to The Ticket?

Ok so to satisfy the still curious, 94.5 is on a translator simulcasting 1400 WFDM-AM as 'Freedom 94.5.' It's running a local morning show with PD/OM Wolfe & Andi, Laura Ingrahm, PCB's Burnie Thompson, Dave Ramsey, Mark Levin, Kilmead & friends, Alex Jones, and Midnight Radio. Word is they're doing tower stuff to blanket Okie County.

You mean South Okaloosa with 94.5, right? There's no way people in Auburn could pick up the 225 watt translator (on a typical car radio or without a nice directional yagi), even if it goes up on top of FWB's tallest tower. I doubt it could get up to I-10... but I'm not an engineer. I guess WFDM and WDSP, combined, could cover Okaloosa in the daytime. Is that what you mean?

It's sad that all there is to talk about here in Lower Alabama is a 225 watt translator on a poor frequency. There are 3 100 watt light bulbs on in my computer room right now (3x100=300 watts!), should we be talking about that? Maybe we should! I hear the government is going to BAN 100 watt incandescent light bulbs next year. Are y'all stocking up? I need to get to work on stocking my shelves with incandescent light bulbs, or search the net for a deal on getting a few pallets delivered to my warehouse.

Poledo - I agree. These government required China-made lights suck. The color is irratating and, no joke, will lead to violence and worse and then they will be outlawed. Speaking of being outlawed, how pathetic is it that WFDM is Hale's latest disaster in the making and how long until Dave Ramsey refuses to let this station serve the market with his message? Next thing ya know, strobeys will be outlawed.

Well, if they hadn't changed most of them over to LED, strobies would be outlawed next year. Those things have to be stronger than 100 watts (I think, I've never seen one up close... I bet the look cool... or hot... or do they just blind you so you can't see them? Maybe strobies should be outlawed, they're dangerous!)
