Well I guess I answered my own question!! Guess they can get rid of the "LIVE AND LOCAL" slogan AGAIN!!
New Line up
Morning News 6AM -9AM
Geraldo 9-12n (NOT LIVE AND LOCAL)
Joyce 12n -3pm
Steve Malzberg 3-5pm LIVE or LOCAL??
Rich 5p-7p
7p-9p????
So where is Barsky going??

Running Geraldo on a nine hour delay was not great. He reacts to breaking news and it sounded dated. I had a feeling they might do this. Steve Malzburg is probably based out of New York. Glad Rich is still on. Indeed, is Barsky gone?

In Fort Lauderdale SIX sports stations come in..four on AM,two on FM. Of course, 104.3 and 106.3 are simulcasts of AM stations. There are only three mainstream talkers, WFTL,WJNO and WIOD..Oh yeah, 94.3 "Real Radio, but they are only talk during the day. Way too many sports signals.

Is Malzburg still originating from WOR? It seems to me when Clear Channel took over 710, Malzburg left the station and started producing an internet only talk program. I'm fairly certain he is still in New York.

I believe Geraldo is live from 9am-12n and they delay it now. He originates from WABC in NY and they run him from 10am-12n M-F

Steve Malzburg is awful. I remember listening to his first broadcasts filling in on WABC-AM in NYC. Real amateur hour and he hasn't really improved much since then (20 years ago).

It's a shame WFTL has 50,000 wasted watts of power that point it AWAY from Miami. I'd like to have another English-speaking talk station option here in Miami besides WIOD.

It might not be good in Miami proper, but about 2 years ago, I was listening to a news conference that both WFTL and WIOD were carrying as I was driving south into Dade County. 100.3 faded quickly. Punching between 610 and 850, WFTL actually sounded better. Probably the processing. But I stuck with 850 until I arrived at my destination in Miami Shores.
