WGAS: The new winner of the Knoxville fall ARB

The top five Knoxville slots are held by two South Central stations, one Cumulus station, and two Journal stations. If you take into account the unlisted non-subscribers, the complexion of the whole public list would change to a large degree. Journal's audience is under the age of 25. South Central seems to be trying to cut expenses, and Cumulus seems to care less about how many listeners it has.

It would seem that the big ratings winner for 2011 is WGAS (Who Gives A S#@t?) Please somebody disagree and bring some facts with you.

FM stations are allowed to use the same call letters an AM or TV station has in a totally different market, with the condition that "-FM" is used.

But that's not the case here.

WGAS is a Christian station in Gastonia, North Carolina outside Charlotte. Which if I remember correctly now merely airs the same thing as one of the Charlotte stations.
