I checked the V-Soft Zip Signal Web site. In downtown Boston (02110, 02111) WCRB's signal is listed as ~87 dBu. In Needham (02494), it is given as 85 dBu. Aren't all of these locations a good bit further than 20 miles from Wood Hill? Everywhere I've listened in those locales, the signal is just fine. Certain downtown areas (Back Bay, for example) are likely a problem because of front-end overload from the Pru stations. I guess the Class A and the B-1 at One Financial Center (Isn't WERS a B-1 and isn't it at One Financial Center along with WFNX?) aren't potent enough to knock out 99.5 in the South Station area--at least not at ground level.
