This morning, WHAS-AM 840 and WKJK-AM 1080 were the latest Clear Channel stations to switch affiliation to Fox Radio News. WHAS-AM uses the Fox stinger at the top of it's local newscasts and WKJK-AM carries Fox Radio News on the top of the hour. I am sure Clear Channel's WXXA-AM 790 also switched from NBC from to Fox as well.
I remember the larger amount of national news choices on Louisville radio when WAKY-AM 790 was affiliated with ABC, WHAS-AM 840 was affiliated with CBS, WFIA-AM 900 was affiliated with USA radio, WAVE-970 was affiliated with NBC, WLOU-AM 1350 was affiliated with NBN news, and WFPL-FM 89.3 was the NPR affiliate. I believe there was a Mutual radio affiliate as well, maybe WKLO-AM 1080 or WXVW-AM 1450. As far as national news goes on Louisville radio today, Louisville listeners only have the choice of Fox radio, Salem's SRN News and NPR radio. As for now, if you can receive a good signal from WAVG-AM 1450 in Jeffersonville, then you also have the choice of AP news at the top of the hour.
