WHAT-AM 1340/ 99.9 EL ZOL now is Z 99.9

El zol 1340/99.9 flipped to Z99.9, I wonder if Iheart has the rights to that name in Philly.

The classic letters used to ID stations, Z, Q, X are so broadly used as names that there is no way to trademark a letter for broadcast station naming.

Bring back Mary Mason, Martini Lounge or Skin Radio on that frequency...

Q: What do all those references have in common?

A: None was successful and profitable.
