WHAT ARE THE CALL LETTERS OF 100.5 GOING TO BE??

The stunt is telling us to listen Monday morning at 6 am on 100.5, WWWQ. So I'm a bit confused. This morning I heard on the Bert Show "WWWQ College Park Atlanta, WNNX Atlanta - Two Cumulus stations"..... take that for what it's worth.

EDIT: Just heard on 99.7 Q100 "WNNX Atlanta, A Cumulus Station". Looks like 99.7 will keep the WNNX call letters for now.

Don't mean to state the obvious but 99.7 WILL NOT be keeping "WNNX" for much longer. It's a matter of FCC rules, regulations, and paperwork that obviously has yet to be completed. They could have applied for a swap and moved the WNNX calls to 100.5 for the time being but I sense they're gonna launch something soon and will simply apply for the new calls on 100.5. WWWQ will be moving to 99.7 as soon as that happens. Most of you in the know realize call letters (unless it's part of a station's image) and city of license don't mean much anymore in today's radio business landscape.

SMAN02 is obviously some disgruntled employee of Cumulus or something because he is going through this swap of signals with a fine tooth comb to point out every little inconsistency. Little did we know we had a perfectionist on this imperfect board.

Bring back WFOX. Although that might be somewhere else now. Those were great calls.

Those calls (WFOX) are at Cox Radio's sister station 95.9 Fox in Stamford, CT which is Classic Rock. Its not like Cox Radio was going to sell them or just give those calls to the network FOX which would love to place them on FOX 5 New York. Which many people said.

Wow.. I've never actually worked for Cumulus. Well, I do pay attention to detail. It's just me. Sorry if I offended you or anyone.

RTibbs-
Sman has no professional affiliation with radio. I recognize him from another board- he's really just this meticulous and annoying.

WhyReason is correct. Actually, I found this board when I heard Jamie Massey went to another station and I used Google to find out where she went. This board told me the answer. I enjoy what people have to say on here. Radio has always been a fascination of mine. Hey, I take pride in being meticulous and annoying. I'm just gonna lay low now...

What I suggest both stations do is just simply swap call letters. WWWQ belongs with Q100, and WNNX should be transferred to 100.5 and changed to something new. Since 100.5 is now called Rock 100.5, perhaps a good idea would be something like WROF, with the ROF standing for "Rock One Hundred Point Five". Are those calls even available?

Yep.
