What do u think of woody show on alt 98.7 ?

I like alt 98.7 morning show pretty funny. It cracks me up how they include the pd in the show make reference to him Mike the show killer. They always say how there show is in trouble with mgmt. I wonder if that is true or just part of the show? They had to get rid of throw back Thursdays but brought back after a week. And woody always says if we're not here tomorrow... 98.7 the frequency has a tendency not to keep morning shows it seems. Jamie and Danny ozomati. Hopefully the woody show is here to say))). Opinions

James, I am going to remind you again that the "overall" (6+) numbers are not anything you can use for making judgments.

I would have thought you would know that by now after you tried to draw a conclusion about KLOS and KSWD using the overall numbers, only to be proven wrong once David brought out the breakout numbers and cited meaningful statistics.

In fact, I expect him to turn up any minute now with some actual data.

The morning show is at a level that is exactly half of the January level in 18-49. The morning decline had a negative halo effect on middays. Only evenings and weekends were not dragged down by mornings.
 
When Kennedy did mornings the overall ratings hovered around 2.9 to 3.1. Way better than now with the Woody show. I would have just kept Kennedy. The new show is costing I heart radio a lot of money.
 
I would say there drop in mornings has more to do with them not playing all music like they were. I bet the drop would have come reguardless of who they got for mornings. People put on the show expecting music and change the station. Change takes time but don't know if I heart media have the patience? Kevin and bean have been around forever and nice to have a choice

The Woody Show (in its various incarnations) failed in Chicago and failed horribly in San Francisco. The only place it seems to work is St. Louis. Why does these guys keep getting shots at major markets? They have no track record of success!!!!
 
I listen to this show every morning. I really enjoy The Woody Show. They're really funny, and their skits haven't gotten old (not for me anyway), yet. Craigslist Freak of the Week is always good. I can't believe some people who live around here!
 
emg, you're going to be treated to a "sneak preview." Since 2003, I have written the daily Rewind feature for Don Barrett's LARadio.com. The April 21 column concerns The Woody Show and that Green Day song. Don has graciously allowed me to post it here a day early:

LARadio Rewind: April 21, 2014. The Woody Show joins ALT 98.7 KYSR for mornings. Jeff "Woody" Fife had begun co-hosting mornings with Tony Mott, Renae Ravey, Greg Gory and Jason "Menace" McMurray in 2006 at Live105 KITS in San Francisco. On April 1, 2009, Fife was fired along with Mott and Ravey for playing 30 seconds of an unreleased track from Green Day's upcoming 21st Century Breakdown CD. Mott quit radio and Fife moved to KDSK in St. Louis to co-host The Woody & Rizz Show with Scott Rizzuto. Ravey joined the show in 2013. Fife, Ravey, Gory and McMurray reunited in 2014 and replaced Lisa "Kennedy" Montgomery on the ALT 98.7 morning show. Program director Mike Kaplan declared, "They're genuine. They talk about things that are important to all of us.
