What do you guys think of Energy 92.7/101.1?

Im originally from Uptown New York & im accustomed to House music, & since relocating here, im tuned into Energy quite often(granted if i get the signal) my question is what do most arizonans(if thats what you're called) think of the station,meaning the mixers & on air personality( i think theres 1) and the all round music being played? I love the friday & saturday night lineups as well as the friday mixshows leading up to that night. ::)
 
the only time i tune-in to energy is when they're in tha mix. ..most times, the automation goes goofy with playback at double speed; sounding like i'm listening to the program under water. usually there are 45 minute blocks of dead-air, due to the glitch'n double speed playback.

i can do without their jocks; if only energy could present themselves like bbc / radio 1, it'd be listenable.

daytime energy is all heavily rotated bubblegum-pop crossover. ..they play no techno, drum & bass, acid, deep funky house, trip hop, jungle, tribal, breaks, trance..

if you want proper dance music... it's online & downloadable.
 
Yeah you're right about the daytime music, What ever happened to the midday mix? That was the ish on friday's with Dj Perry playing the ol skool! They need to bring midday mixes back! And possibly do an evening mix every night ,not just on fridays.
 
if you want 3 watts of stevie b "let me be the one' & dino "summer girls".. then energy is the station for you.

i suggest all vinyl, all the time.

What happened to the CP for Energy and Mega to move their stick and give the Valley some better covreage? They have had the CP for quite some time, is anything being done? It helps ratings when people can actually hear you.

KAJM's is still in effect. KNRJ never had one.

Problem is, they can't move too much closer to Phoenix due to stations here on 100.7, 101.5, 103.9, and 104.7. The translators will still be necessary since they can't move close enough to cover the entire metro.

BTW, I would think that the 92.7 translator would be better on Shaw Butte or on a building downtown than on South Mountain. It looks like the majority of those 10 watts is radiated over the mountain itself instead of areas where listeners will actually be.

I love energy, well i like it a whole lot better when it first came on few years back, and the singal was alot better, i can hardly get it in my car on either 927/1011.

i think it is one of the better stations, or it could be if it had a stronger signal, and if the would stick to just the music they started to play, well maybe thats why there are playing more popish stuff to so they can keep ratings.

all i know is that ove the years, the station has changed, and i not sure if it has been in a good way.
 
If they even had a signal that 50% of the valley could easily tune in they couldnt get worse ratings!! So when is Mega going to use their CP? At times they show life in the ratings, they couldnt do worse with a better signal, up is the only direction likely!
 
Just went to the Electronic new year party at E4, and let me tell you.....off the hook!!!!!!!!!! DJ Kilo & Rod Carrillo put it down!!!!!!! All of what Kilo played is what Energy needs to start playing more of, Also saw Dj Perry as well as Hot mix legend Mickey Oliver, once again great night for dance music ! :)

the energy programmers need to get a clue from their weekend specialty shows..

I think Pistol Pete is the most annoying jock I have ever heard. Don't understand why they would fire all the decent jocks and keep just 1 (the worst one). He must have a thing with management, because the rest of the world tunes out...

PP is great and always cracks me up!! I loved during the Free FM night auditions when they had Colin Boyd, Dead Air Dave, and Steffani on and they had the gay man out on the street reports with PP. Loved it!!! PP is great for Energy :)
