What do you think of Elena Lopez interview on Venezuelan Talk Radio

Ross Mirkarimi Wife appears on Venezuelan Talk Radio to defend her husband. But the neighbor lists her as the victim. I wish we heard of the whole interview from the News/Talk Station in Venezuela.

What do I think? I think she's a victim and she's defending her husband because she's afraid of losing custody of her kid, as apparently he threatened to take custody. Mothers often do put themselves in peril in order to protect their children.

Now, as to the broadcast aspect of this, this topic has been talked about a lot and I think it was only Gil Gross on KKSF 910 who came to her defense as the victim that she apparently is.

On Gil's show (well, Gene Burns' show) last week, a woman who deals with spousal abuse came to her defense as a non-victim saying that if she allows herself to be a victim then there would possibly be repercussions later from her husband.

All in all this is not a very good situation for all concerned, and it's something where talkradio can debate it over and over because there are no clear answers. As for me, I believe she's a victim and that Ross Mirkarimi needs to step down as sheriff.
