What do you think of this 1987 Aircheck of 94.7 The Wave

I like this mix but i think if a web station or FM station want to go NAC today they have to go Smooth Jazz, AAA, New Age, Soft Rock, and Chill in the Playlist. This is a good playlist.

As the person who posted these files, this aircheck was what drew me into the format. Prior to 1987, St. Louis had radio stations that had been playing some form of contemporary jazz, one was KCLC St. Charles (a college station with 1500 watts at the time), and WMRY. What I liked about KTWV was that it didn't call itself a jazz station. It was not, although it did play some contemporary jazz artists. The mix included rock artists, some commercially friendly new age cuts, and adult contemporary musicians that didn't quite fit in with the AC format of the time (Neil Diamond, Gloria Estefan, Kenny Rogers, Barry Manilow).

I noticed that KKSF in its beginning back in 1987 to 1992 the playlist was a lot like KOIT, KFOG and KISQ-FM before they followed the Quiet Storm format to put Smooth Jazz there.
