What does everone think of some of the new fall shows?

A few of the new fall shows looked interesting to me from the promos so I DVR'd then. I watched 3 of the 4 last night

Kevin Can Wait - I thought the show was boring and not really funny. Really stupid that they had the guy who played Kevin James's cousin on King of Queens playing his brother on this new show.

Speechless - Really stupid and I think Minnie Driver is annoying.

This is Us - I thought this show was really interesting despite the fact that I couldn't really make heads or tails out of it. I also thought it was weird that their was a couple in this show who looked like they were cloned from Mike and Molly.

I liked Kevin Can Wait. The actor who plays that role is Kevin James' brother, and he appears in many of Kevin's projects. Sort of like Clint Howard shows up when brother Ron Howard directs a film.

I thought Speechless was touching. I liked how Minnie Driver pushes hard for her disabled son.

I also enjoyed Lethal Weapon. Daman Wayans and the other star have a good chemistry. I taped MacGyver but haven't watched it yet. The rest of what I've seen are returning shows.

Lethal Weapon - thought the first 30 minutes were a hoot! It tapered off the following half hour so I am waiting to see if they keep the comedy in the show or it gets serious (in which case I would probably drop it).

Last Man Standing - really far-fetched theme but had its moments. The youngest daughter was not in the show which prompts me to question whether she will be full-time in the future or not. Most of the show seemed to revolve around the Outdoor Man staff and not the Baxters.

I can wait for Kevin.

Actually, I have to. For some reason the first one didn't record.

I only wish I hadn't gotten so excited for "Designated Survivor". Because I went to the beach last week, and I watched movies on channels I can only see down there because it's cheaper not to get all the channels, I'm way behind. This means for some shows I will have two episodes available to watch. I wish that had happened for the best new show this season. I wish I could see three or more at once.

"Lethal Weapon" was good enough to keep me coming back, but I really wish I hadn't gotten such a rude introduction to why Riggs behaves the way he does. But he's quite a good detective.

"Speechless" was enjoyable. I like the way J.J. can show emotions even if he can't talk the usual way. Minnie Driver is annoying but I like how someone stands up for J.J. And I like the kid who joined the astronomy club and met a girl. Kenneth looks like he will be a good friend.

Designated Survivor - It was nice to see Jack Bauer....er, Keifer Sutherland, in a role where his speech can actually be understood and he does something besides threaten people. Well, actually, he got to threaten one diplomat but it was only verbal and not up against the wall. The premiere set the tone for the show which I thought was sufficient but not wide enough. I mean, after they catch the bad guys who blew up our Congress (thank you, BTW), then what? We get to relive this election in real time once again? GAWD I hope not! I have had enough politics to last a lifetime.

Lethal Weapon was a good show I'll watch again this Wed since I like Arrow I'll be watching that over Lethal Weapon.
Pitch was also a good show saw that OnDemand this weekend if there is nothing else on I'll watch Pitch.

You know Last Man Standing isn't new right?

Just watched Pitch. OK and the lead character is easy on the eyes but I don't know how much material they will have to work with once the initial half dozen episodes are in the can.

I haven't watched "Pitch" but with all the good things I'm reading I guess I'll have to. I have a Season Pass starting tomorrow night. Surely they'll rerun the pilot and I'm amazed they haven't already. Unless they have and I missed it.

I did get to see the second "Kevin" episode and the pilot is repeated tomorrow night, as I found out looking for "Pitch". I wasn't impressed. I never saw more than a couple of episodes of "King of Queens" and aside from a gorgeous wife and a couple of pratfalls, I'm just not seeing much to interest me.
