What happened on 03/19 WBZ Morning News?

I turned on my radio this morning (03/19) at 8:01, and, for the next 20 minutes or so, ‘BZ was in cardiac arrest, with dead air; very, very low audio: snippet of weekend podcast; one live traffic report; one sports report.

At about 8:21, Jeff Brown returned with a comment about “the wonders of modern technology”. Granted, this is rare for ‘BZ, more common for Talk1200, but does anyone care to share insight as to what happened?

Please don’t insult me by simply saying “technical difficulties”. Was it the big iHeart broadcast controller? Were other stations in the building affected?

They're testing for the Armageddon?
With iHeart you never know. As big as BZ 1030 is ,and I think it's still a cash cow for them , they could pull the plug I guess.

I really hate to agree with you, but, as you so rightly stated, "With iHeart you never know". I'm still p$^*@# they let go of Laurie Kirby and Adam Kaufman. (Adam should've kept his morning shift sports anchor job at 'BZ instead of going over to the no man's land of 'RKO late at night. IMHO, that is.)
