What happened to St. Auggie's Coast 105-3/105-5?

New to this game, so here goes...

I'm living in the swamp now (G-Ville), so I don't find myself in the St. Augustine area much anymore (too bad, I'd love to live there) but last time I was within range, I'd heard the old Tama Smooth Jazz Combo 105.3/105.5 running as a Rhythmic AC "Coast". Now today, I heard NOTHING on 105.5 and faintly on 105.3 I heard ESPN Radio. Is this something new? anyone know what is going on?

Thanks!! :)

If you read a few threads below you would have found the whole deal whats going on. Seven Bridges Radio, LLC in Jacksonville which owns WJXL-AM 1010, known as 1010XL has entered into a Time Brokerage Agreement (I gusss its an LMA in a way) to run the stations. What they have done is split the combo up into two different stations. 105.3 is becoming sports (well its already been done) and rebranding that station as 1010XL FM. 105.5 is becoming "St. Augustine's True Oldies 105.5" using Scott Shannon's True Oldies feed with eventually a gradual shift towards programming the station with local programming. This all becomes official tomorrow. The 105.5 signal will be heard again tomorrow. Later.

that is greeeeeat!!!! so i see the people up there are getting a clue! i'm glad to hear thhis news. i hope they do the right things here. i wil defanatly do some hard core dxes to hear this stuff for sure. it will be nice to hear a decent oldies station in st. augustine. but, i really hope oldies comes to jax as well. that market could use it as well.

I had not been to this site in a few weeks. What a nice surprise to see this.

It will be interesting to see if the stations will try to tweek the signals to not conflict with each other too much.

Thanks for the info.
