Listening to Imus, it is painfully obvious that the person in charge of operation at WYAY doesn’t have a clue about syndicated programming execution. For that matter, you’d think the engineer would have a little more savvy. Levels all over the place, dead air, sloppy transitions. Why the hell are they using the oldies feed when Imus takes a break? There must be a dozen or so guys in Atlanta who could “ride the board” and do real time switching. As the Iman would say: “Jesus Gawd, can’t the station afford to pay a part timer to produce the show”? On another subject, I can’t remember the last time I heard a major market station playing PSA’s in morning drive. Bonus the hell out of the few remaining “Eagle” clients; at the very least record promos for the races and bonus the race sponsors. Truly unbelievable.
