What has happened to the "Tube" TV55 Houston?

Uh, I mean I awoke pleasantly suprised to see the once mostly informercials and other useless programming to actually have "Classic" TV to watch.

11a: Hart to Hart
noon: Northern Exposure
1p: Magnum P.I.
2p: Kojak
3p: Rockford Files
4p: *Can't remember at the moment*
5p: The A-Team
6p: Married w/ Children
7p: America's Funniest Home Videos
8p: Matlock
9p: Matlock
10p: Nothern Exposure (new episode)

Where did this all come from? They've went from basically programming a 3p til 8p schedule to half the day. I'm impressed especially with the pathetic product the Tube had been putting on the air.

Here's The Tube's new schedule as of 1/1/07:

11a: Hart to Hart
noon: Northern Exposure
1p: Magnum P.I.
2p: Kojak
3p: Rockford Files
4p: Hawaii Five-O
5p: The A-Team
6p: Married w/ Children
7p: America's Funniest Home Videos
8p: Magnum PI
9p: Matlock
10p: Nothern Exposure (new episode)

New owners offiicially assumed operation of the station and promised sweeping changes. So far, they have kept their word!

Thought AmericaOne bought the Tube?

And before this latest change the Tube had much of the cable stations programming which included gardening, house repair and other potpourri. Only classic shows left were Leave it to Beaver, I Love Lucy and Gunsmoke.

I'm very happy with the new lineup, just curious if the Tube is still run by the folks of that cable station?

Yup, just checked at 6:10pm and "Married...With Children" is on. A pretty radical change from the sanitized stuff they've (re)run in the past. :D

However, vestiges of the Osteen ownership remain: The commerical break had a two minute spot for "50 Most Loved Hymms." ;D

Yeah, great lineup, the only thing is, they should of kept Gunsmoke, Simon & Simon (which by the way goes with their mostly "Sleuth Channel" theme), Hitchcock, Leave it to Beaver and I Love Lucy. They should of kept the classic comedy that they now don't have and put it on to fill the 9-11 AM hours. I rather watch that than America's Funniest Home Videos..........But good move by the Tube w/Married W/Children....I miss that show and suprised that Channel 51 hasn't pick that up.

Re: What has happened to "The Tube" TV55 Houston?

Hopefully the new owners plan to do some more tweaking of the schedule. Weekends continue to be mostly infomericals.

Cool! Too bad I can barely pull it with my pathetic set-top "rabbit ears" antenna here in the Westchase District ;D

I have Dish network but for folks that don't have cable or satelitte, it's not your rabbit ears as they have one of the worst signals in the Houston area. The new Phillips Amplified antenna for about $50 or the Radio Shack one for about the same seem to work the best since I live outside of the metro area.

I can pick up low power TV43 better than the Tube if that says anything.
