Is that both women and men's sports scholarships (under Title IX)?

Women have disproportionately higher admission rates, higher GPAs and higher graduation rates in higher education and post-graduate education. Sounds like men are being discriminated against in academia.

I heard on "America's Funniest Home Videos" it was on, but then I just forgot. Though when I turned on the My Netwrok station's movie I had a nagging feeling I should check the listings.

Bert Parks was the best. Whoever decided to dump him probably ruined the Miss America pageant. (It would have been ruined eventually, but Parks departure hastened the process.)

For those who like classic films and have an interest in this subject, may I recommend "Smile", a Bruce Dern movie from circa 1974. Very under-rated, but a spot-on look at beauty pageants with some nice on-location shooting from Santa Rosa, California. Must-see 1970's movie, with a sneak peek of upcoming star Melanie Griffith.

Count me in as a Bert Parks fan! I was very unhappy when they canned Parks. No one could sing "There She Is" like Bert Parks.

And I do remember the Bruce Dern movie. It's a great film.

Maybe they were counter-programming the NFL Playoffs to get the chick demographic and whoever else didn't want to watch the NFL games?

ABC could've accomplished that with a Romantic Comedy movie. They didn't need something like the Miss America Pageant
