In the early and mid 1990s I used to really enjoy Santa Barbara's KIST jingles. "K-I-S-T 13-40!" Even though most of the programming was canned satellite oldies programming, the jingles made the station worth listening to when cruising up the 101.

Back when that station was still on the air on previous boards we debated whether KIST's jingles were homemade or just produced by a low-budget jingle company.

This ID was a great ID, the KBIG ID. It sounded like you were in Hollywood, and with that huge signal at 104.3, that made it sound greater.

From 2003 (Aircheckdex)

Of course, the Hot KIIS jingles (which started at KIIS, and was probably on in almost every market in the nation) had great top of the hour ID's, and if only they could be used today.

KRTH has the best ID's now in the Southland, with that great reverb that very few stations have now.
