WHAT IS ORIGIN OF OPERA MUSIC STATION IN FRINGE AREA OF WATD?

Anyone know what station on 95.9 broadcasts opera music on Saturday afternoons? Whatever station it was, it was battling WATD (Marshfield) for signal strength in the Raynham/Taunton area of Route 138 as I was driving along that road. I know we've been having a tropo recently, so maybe it's from a distant location.

I'm surprised they have any opera at all on WCRI; it must be sponsored by an opera lover in the area. I clicked on their website for the playlist, and it's a stark reminder of how bad WCRB was for a dozen years under commercial ownership. Not only is there a a plethora of 18th-Century detritus (today they had pieces by totally forgotten composers like Zachow, Franceschini, Helledaal and Baguer), but they follow the old WCRB pattern of playing pieces by poor old Tomaso Albinoni, whose fame now rests on a piece falsely attributed to him:

WCRB under pervious "management played Albinoni pieces several times a day every day, although in the real world
his music was almost never played at all, and no longer is heard on 'GBH-owned WCRB. His name doesn't even appear on the roster of composers on the walls of Paine Hall on the campus of Harvard U, although some of the names that made it are themselves kind of obscure.

yes, WHRB is probably the best bet these days for Opera.
