What is the worst and most obnoxious commercial on Boston radio?

Every RKO spot read by Crazy Kuhner. Man is that guys voice annoying.
Did you hear Kuhner this morning? He got suckered in by that satirical story that's been circulating about some kids' soccer league not allowing them to play using a ball. He thought it was real and did a segment ranting about it.

Yes I heard him and of course he played the victim well. I can't recall if he manged to blame the entire segment on the POTUS or the NSA. The guy is like looking a bad car crash you don't want to listen but he is so bad you can't help it. I listen to him for short periods for the same reason i watched Lost in Space it was so bad you couldn't believe it was on TV>

Wow, everyone seems pretty familiar with someone who they claim they wouldn't listen to if you held a gun to their head.

If I were a PD who had a talent that was listened to religiously by folks who hated him, I'd probably sign him to a long term contract.

The easiest way to try to get rid of a radio host you don't like it to ignore him or her. This ain't exactly rocket surgery, but not everyone seems to get it.

Regards,
TSB

I never said I wouldn't listen to Crazy Kuhner if you put a gun to my head. I offered a reason why I listen and unfortunately pushing the pre set for RKO now and then is a habit I find hard to break due to the years and years of great radio that came from the frequency at one time. . The easiest way these days to get someone off the air is not support their advertisers. Although, I am still to young for assisted living or the products sold by Belmont Medical Supply, I go out of my way not to support any advertiser who airs on Howie Carr or Crazy Kuhner. I used to do business with a company that started airing on RKO. I called them told them why I wanted to be taken off thier mailing list and why I was not interested in doing business with them. I haven't heard their spots on RKO in sometime. It just may be a coincidence or RKO's dismal ratings didn't deliver for the advertiser. .

I hate that 1-877-Kars-For-Kids jingle! As I hate every Humira commercial for Chron's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. As well as Limu Emu and Doug for Liberty Mutual!

I can stand most radio commercials, but even I have to admit that Limu Emu and Doug takes the cake for the absolute worst on radio AND TV.

And in other news: I've been singing along to 1-877-DOGS-FOR-KIDS since its inception well over a decade ago on 96.9 WTKK.

I can't stand the commercial, but, I would not stoop to murder! From the article:

"Aside from Yossi, however, the company has repeatedly declined to identify anyone else involved with creating the song. The reason? Death threats. The tune has apparently enraged people to the point of contemplating murder. Speaking to SanFranciscoGate.com in 2016, music cognition expert Elizabeth Hellmuth Margulis said that the combination of repetitive structure and the overly simplistic message was engineered to grate the listener's nerves."

Is it really a good idea to grate on the nerves of potential customers?

Some of you might remember the local band The Fools who were popular about 40 years ago.
Check out this video:
If it doesn't take you directly to the intended point in the recording, forward the time to about 57:30.

Kars for Kids hands down. I tuned out that ad to the point that until only a year ago did I realize it was Kars for Kids and not Cars for Kids. BZ ran the same spot for years for a Taunton Dentist named Mark R. Turner. It ran in the overnight hours for at least five years. I almost wrote the guy a letter to suggest it may be time to have a new spot cut.

Crazy Kuhner 's testimonial for the best dentist in America Dr. Emma WU is particularly annoying. Kuhner bangs on about what an amazing dentist she is and then ads that he visits the office for a routine cleaning. Why they would include that is beyond me or the fact that Kuhner drives 2 hours to her office. Danvers and North Andover are about a 40 minute ride from Medford. Does Kuhner drive from Medford back to Wrentham when he is in the studio then turn around and drive back to Danvers?

GOONer as I call him, is a fake/fraud/phony drama queen. Is he in a studio or broadcasting from his basement due to chinese virus? I wonder if Dr. Wu gives him a deal or if he pays full price. Howie drives to NH for his dental work. I guess when you get free stuff or perhaps half price, you'll drive anywhere. Howie's wife goes there too so I'm guessing some kind of sweet deal was worked out. Afterall, Howie is known as a cheap bastard and has many years experience getting graft!

Liberty Mutual came to the funny/cute insurance commercial game way too late. Progressive is a mile ahead of everyone else, and that includes former leader Geico.

"This thread resurrection is brought to you by...Kars for Kids, anything with Tony Massarotti's voice pitching it, and that creepy occasional ad looking for kids who want to audition for an talent agency to potentially be on The Disney Channel."

Have to agree with Kars for Kids, but strictly the original version that has been on for almost 15 years. The guy who sings with kid irrationally gave me chills. My old (youthful) joke was to ask if the guy was actually looking for a donated van. Inappropriate and juvenile; but that was my initial reaction to hearing a kid singing, then the man with a deep voice all of a sudden starting to sing with the kid. It was mainly the way he sang it. I can't explain it better, just sounds off to me.

Mazz's ads aren't creepy. I just can't stand his voice. Always gets me, getting out of work after I occasionally listen to T&R in the way in, and I start my truck to sound of Mazz's voice.

And those ads that ask if your child has ever dreamed about being on a Disney Channel show, just always seem off. On the surface, talent searches aren't an issue. My problem is two-fold. First, I hate the idea of solicting my kids for a way to make money. Not selling a service, but seeking out my kids (or any kid) directly. Second, there's just too many bad incidents regarding "trust worthy people" and kids. Look at the US Gymnastics team. So hearing some perky guy in his 20s asking for me to bring him my kids always creeps me out.
