www.acousticoutpost.com is run by Dan Murphy, formerly of WCAS Cambridge, and tries to recreate the eclectic folk/folk-rock format that station had in the 1970s, although it's not specifically Boston-focused.

yes he was looking for broadcasts that aren't on AM or FM (well HD is kinda but you need the radio or go online for it)
The only radio broadcasts that aren't on the AM or FM dial are TV broadcasts and international (shortwave) broadcasts. There are no international broadcasters based in Boston; the nearest one is WBCQ in Maine.
