WILL AIR 12 HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAMES
THIS FALL, ALONG WITH PENN STATE FOOTBALL.

Shippensburg Greyhounds High School football will again be on Country Gold 1480, WEEO with veteran play-by-play team Scott Smith and Rob Ebersole.

Ah... somebody beat me to this one.

WPPA will have Pottsville Area Crimson Tide football.
WAVT will have a game of the week, and we're also doing a separate schedule of games on the website, t102radio.com.

The football edition of WPPA Sports Saturday starts this Saturday at 9AM (also on wpparadio.com).

WEEU will also do games of the week in Berks County. WQIC and WLBR handle Lebanon County.

The Penn State Nittany Lions will again be heard on WHP 580, and I can say with certainty that 1460 The Ticket will be airing every Cumberland Valley Eagles football game, as well as the home games of the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders. In addition, WTKT will feature Pitt Panthers football and basketball in the coming months.

Is one broadcast "team" doing the play-by-play for all of the games on WMSS or multiple teams of announcers?

It's got to be multiple teams of announcers, with Wilsbach/Keyser being the key team. They have some Saturday AM high school games followed immediately by an early afternoon Lebanon Valley College game.

They also have some tape-delayed Lower Dauphin games right after the Middletown "live" game on Friday nights. It is interesting to listen to as they cut out all of the 'dead' time between plays, and halftime is reduced to about a 3-minute commercial break. You get to hear a 2-hour football game condensed into about 45 minutes. It's kind of mind-numbing -- like listening to a 33 RPM record at 45 RPM speed.
