What might it take to bring back Chris Lydon to WBUR ?... or to WGBH ?

What makes you think Chris wants to go back? I've asked him and he doesn't. ;D

Besides, those bridges are kinda burned. The way he departed WBUR was, shall we say, rather less than amicable. And he had not one but two runs on WGBH already (first as a TV anchor, later in the initial iteration of Radio Open Source)

Besides, Chris has got the whole ROS global podcast concept going and, AFAIK, he likes it quite a bit. And IIRC he's 72 or 73 years old; I don't blame him if he doesn't want to bother with the stress and commitment of hosting a daily call-in talk show.
