What Milwaukee AM radio stations would be good candidates for flipping to progressive/liberal talk (AAR or non-AAR)?
Hypothetical Question - What Milwaukee AM radio stations are having trouble profit-wise and ratings-wise, and would be good candidates for flipping to progressive/liberal talk?
A Milwaukee Prog/Lib Talk AM Station could have:
* AAR format (Franken, Rhodes, Garafalo, etc).
* Non-AAR format (Ed Schultz, Steph Miller, Bill Press, etc).
* A little of both AAR and non-AAR talk hosts (with some local flavor thrown in).
Based on Tim Cuprisin's article yesterday, WSSP with its' low ratings books might improve its' position if it flipped to progressive/liberal talk.
The CC (& FM) prog/lib talker in not-to-far-away Madison is doing well ratings-wise (and I assume profit-wise, as well) - which bodes well for a prog/lib talker in Milwaukee (in conjunction with past election/voting history).
I recognize that WRJN covers the southern Milwaukee region, but I'm thinking here of something that would be city-wide (and likely metro region-wide).
Anyone else have ideas on who would be good candidates?
